Saleyards Truck Wash

A new payment system was installed at the Temora Saleyards truck wash to ensure proper usage of the facility.
In the past, an ad hoc regime with keys supplied to users made it difficult for Council to have any control over usage of the truck wash and also could lead to wastage of water at the site. The new system, which is used nationally, enables holders of a particular magnetic key to use the truck wash in Temora, with charges of 20 cents per minute once the pump is activiated. The magnetic key is able to be used at truck wash sites throughout Australia. The new system was installed in June 2003 and was operational by 1 July 2004.
