Things to know and do at the Temora Rural Museum

The Temora Rural Museum was established in 1970 by the Temora Historical Society Inc and occupies a landscaped area of two acres on the corner of Junee Raod and Macauley Street with ample paring for caravans.
While covering the heritage of the Temora Shire and adjacent mining areas, its main accent is on all aspects of the agricultural and pastoral industry, including life styles, machinery and working implements.
The many features include, Sir Donald Bradman's first home of hardwood slabs and Jimmy Sharman's boxing troupe memorabilia. Jimmy lived in Temroa where he started his troupe. Also featured is an extensive rock and mineral collection, pioneer cottage, bush school, church, flour mill, ambulance station, country dance hall and underground archive.
A wide range of agricultural implements, steam and oil engines to 136 hp, as well as horse era vehicles and tractors of all types are preserved in special buildings. Other exhibits include working wireless, phonographs and musical instruments of all descriptions.
