Last modified: June 3, 2009 - 11:38 AM

Are you interested in your family history? Maybe it is recent, or possibly past history? Do you ask questions lke, where do I begin my research? How do I store the information? The Temora Family History Group are sure they can assist you.

The Temora Family History Group is a non-profit organisation established for the benefit of all who are interested in the researching of family history. They are now well established in their own section at the Rural Museum, have access to many records, with volunteers to assist in research, be it local, Australia wide or overseas.

Visit the centre at the Temora Rural Museum on Thursday and Saturday afternoons or other times by arrangement.

They have on hand records which include CD's on Births, Deaths and Marriages in various states of Australia; birth records registered in Temora; cemetery and death records - local and some other towns and districts; numerous family histories; shire maps; etc in Museum and Archives; the UK "IGI" indexes on microfiche; Australia's early Muster Books; family tree magazines; various CD's on UK counties.
