St Pauls Anglican Church Temora

Where are we?

The church building is located on the corner of Loftus and Deboos streets, just one hundred metres from the main street of the town near Paleface Adios Park and opposite the Temora Shire Council.

Who Are We?

We are a loving community who welcome anyone into the congregation as fellow members of the body of Christ so that we can all work together to promote the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What are we Like?

People often ask what sort of church are we? Are we Traditional, Evangelical or Charismatic? We are reluctant to identify with any of these traditional labels as we deliberately seek to reflect the strengths in a balance of all three. If there is one word to describe us that we are happy to accept it is “Trinitarian”. In all we do as a church, we are seeking to adopt a “Trinitarian” approach by reflecting the influence of God- Creator, Redeemer and Holy Spirit. We try to maintain a sense of social justice and a concern for the whole creation. We have a strong evangelical concern that all people may know the Good News of God in Jesus Christ and come into a personal relationship with Him and live out their life growing as committed disciples. We try to reflect the Charismatic aspect of the Trinity by our encouragement for all members to discover their Spiritual Gifts and use them in the power of the Holy Spirit in some form of ministry for the building up of the church and mission to our community. We aim to make our times of worship inspiring opportunities to encounter with God utilizing the resources of modern music and technology. Our Parish vision statement, “Putting Christ First!” reflects our desire to live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and serve his purpose. We understand His purpose is summarized by the two great commandments and the Great commission to live our lives in love for God, the Church and the World. Our mission is therefore directed towards growing in love. In practical terms this means applying the principles of  the research of the Institute of Natural Church Development which has developed a “Trinitarian” compass that helps determine the direction we need to take in order to grow in love.

Other activities and interest groups meet at different times which are available in our church organization. We would love to see you at St Paul’s if you are passing through and if you are new to Temora, hope you find us to be a family you can belong to and share in our mission of growing in love.
