Main Street Study - Published: 05 Jul 2006
The National Trust identified a Conservation Area and groups of significat buildings within central Temora in the late 1970's. The listing of these buildings was incorporated into the Temora Local Environmental Plan, which provides statutory protection to all sites within the Shire. more ..

Heritage Assistance Fund - Published: 05 Jul 2006
The aim of the project is to encourage as much positive work on heritage items in the area as possible. This program provides kick-start fundign up to a maxium of $1000 to encourage the joint funding of restoration projects. In the process, it is hoped that this will engender greater interest and concern for conservation for all other heritage items within the Council's area. more ..

Community Based Heritage Study - Published: 05 Jul 2006
Since 2002, the Temora Heritage Committee has been developing a Community Based Heritage Study. The main difference between the community-based heritage study and the conventional expert-based model is that the commmunities is not just consulted, but are actively involved in researching and nominating items and in considering recommendations for their future management and promotion. more ..
