Everyone Expected for Festival - Including Elvis

Last modified: October 14, 2009 - 2:02 PM

Plans are well advanced for the fifth Ariah Park Mary Gilmore Music Festival, being staged on Saturday October 17th at the Ariah Park Recreation Ground.

The feature artist are "Elvis - The King" Gary Buckley and bush balladeer, Tom Maxwell.

Gary Buckley was the winner of the Best Elvis Lookalike at the Parkes Elvis Festival in 2007, and since then has been travelling the country with his Elvis Tribute Show.

The organising committee was looking for someone to broaden the appeal of the Music Festival , and believe the return of "Elvis" could do the trick.

Tom Maxwell is considered one of the leading forces in todays crop of the young balladeers.

An accomplished entertainer, has has already release seven albums, with the latest one in September 2009.

Camping is available within a 100 metres, there will be an ongoing barbeque and a kiosk selling soft drinks, tea, coffee and sandwiches.
