Youth Leadership Program

The Take the Lead Youth Leadership program aims to raise the aspirations of young people to be the next generation of leaders in our community.

Over eight weeks, the free program will provide workshops and activities that focus on developing leadership skills, a sense of social responsibility, self-reflection, public speaking, interpersonal skills, community connections and team building.

Culminating in a graduation dinner, participants will leave this program with high level skills and resources to become active leaders in their community.

Participants will forge strong networks with mentors and leaders within the local community and have the program tailored to their individual needs as an emerging leader.

If you are aged between 15 and 20, and aspire to achieve great things, this program is for you.

Aplication forms can be downloaded below or collected at Council offices.

All nominations must be endorsed and submitted by an employer, school or community group. For more information phone the Youth Development Officer, Sheree Elwin, on 0447 542 451.

Attendance at all sessions is compulsory (see outline).
