Why are Council and Committee meetings livestreamed again?

In June 2026, Council ceased livestreaming after reverting to the 2021 Code of Meeting Practice following changes to the NSW Government's meeting regulations.

The NSW Government has since introduced a new regulation that allows councils to resume livestreaming without formally amending their Code of Meeting Practice.

As a result, Temora Shire Council resumed livestreaming Council and Committee meetings from 7 July 2026.

Can I still access Council and Committee meeting information?

Yes. Council and Committee meetings are livestreamed and recordings remain available on Council's website following each meeting. Business Papers, Minutes and meeting recordings can also be accessed online.

Where can I find past Council and Committee meetings recordings?

Past Council and Committee meetings, including previous livestreams where available, can be accessed here.

Why has Council changed its Code of Meeting Practice?

Council adopted the 2025 Code of Meeting Practice in November 2025. Following the disallowance of the NSW Government's 2025 Model Code by the NSW Legislative Council, councils across NSW were required to revert to the 2021 Model Code.

Council resolved to reinstate its previous Code of Meeting Practice at an Extraordinary Council Meeting on 9 June 2026 to remain compliant with the Local Government Act.

The NSW Government has since introduced a regulation allowing councils to resume livestreaming meetings while a new Model Code is being prepared.

When did livestreaming resume?

Livestreaming of Council and Committee meetings resumed on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, following changes to the NSW Government's meeting regulations.
