Landcare Activities

Temora Shire is fortunate to have five active Landcare groups operating in Grogan and Combaning/Dirnaseer. Both groups have a wide variety of activities and functions that include, but are not limited to:

  • Raised Bed Trial Sites
  • Acid Soils Project
  • Native Vegetation Corridors
  • Property Planning Workshops
  • Field Days and Cropping Seminars
  • Revegetation and Creek Stabilisation Project
  • Harvest Trial Sites
  • Noxious Weed and Pest Control
  • Salinity Issues

The contribution of these voluntary organisations cannot be overstated as they play an integral role in improving and enhancing the environment of Temora Shire.
