Committee Meeting Livestream Update 

At its Extraordinary Council Meeting held on 9 June 2026, Temora Shire Council resolved to revert to its previous Code of Meeting Practice following changes to the NSW Model Code framework.

What's changed?

Following Council's decision in June, the NSW Government introduced a new regulation that allows councils to resume livestreaming meetings without having to formally amend their Code of Meeting Practice.

As a result, Temora Shire Council will resume livestreaming Committee meetings from Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

What this means for the community?

Committee meetings will once again be livestreamed and video recordings will be available to watch on Council's website following each meeting.

Previous livestreams and meeting recordings can continue to be accessed via Council's Past Council Meetings Minutes and Recordings page.

Why did livestreaming stop?

In June 2026, Council reverted to the 2021 Code of Meeting Practice after the 2025 Model Code was disallowed by the NSW Legislative Council.

As livestreaming was not included in Council's reinstated Code, Committee meetings could no longer be livestreamed. Audio recordings continued to be made available on Council's website following each meeting.

The NSW Government has since introduced a regulation that allows councils to recommence livestreaming immediately while a new Model Code of Meeting Practice is being prepared.

Recordings of Committee meetings are subject to Council copyright. Recording, copying, reproducing, transmitting, or reusing any part of a recording is not permitted without the prior written consent of the General Manager.
