Draft Our Plan for the Future 2025-2035

In accordance with the provision of Section 405 of the Local Government Act, 1993, the Council has prepared a Draft Our Plan for the Future 2025-2035, which is inclusive of the Community Strategic Plan (2025-2035), Delivery Program (2025-2029), Operational Plan 2025-2026 and Budget 2025-2026 will be on exhibition until Monday 16 June.

Desilting of Ariah Park’s Railway Dam Begins

The long-awaited desilting of the Ariah Park Railway Dam has started this week. Preparations include building a new dam on the northeast corner of the existing one. Once the new dam is complete, water from the main dam will be pumped into it. The old dam will then be left to dry over the summer before desilting begins.

Council is doing “Okay” considering unavoidable economic impacts

Council’s financial statements for 2023-24 were referred to audit by General Manger, Melissa Boxall in mid-September under delegation, as resolved by Council prior to the Local Government election.
On Thursday 24 November, at Council’s extra ordinary meeting Council authourised the signing of the financial statements.
