Notification of Draft Renewable Energy Planning Agreements Policy

Temora Shire Council gives notice of the public exhibition of the Draft Renewable Energy Planning Agreements Policy.

This Policy provides guidance for Temora Shire Council when negotiating and entering into Voluntary Planning Agreements with proponents of renewable energy developments. The Policy is intended to ensure that renewable energy projects deliver clear, transparent and equitable benefits to the Temora Shire community, aligned with Council’s Community Strategic Plan and Integrated Planning and Reporting framework.

This Policy is deliberately non-prescriptive to allow flexibility and negotiation on a project-by-project basis, while clearly stating Council’s principles, expectations and boundaries.

A copy of the draft policy and supporting documents may also be inspected at Council’s offices, Loftus Street, Temora during office hours.

Any written submissions on the draft Draft Renewable Energy Planning Agreements Policy, addressed to the General Manager, are required to be received by Temora Shire Council, either by mail or email temshire@temora.nsw.gov.au by Thursday 23 April 2026.
