Copyright

The copyright law in Australia falls under the Copyright Act 1968 and is a federal law protecting the intellectual property of Australian citizens.

The types of material protected by copyright laws include literary works, musical works, artistic works, and dramatic works. It also confers rights in "other subject matter" which cover material such as sound recordings, films, broadcasts and published editions.
