Temora Shire Council is calling for tenders for the lease of the Temora Airfield Tourist Park, Tigermoth Avenue, Temora.
Temora Airfield Tourist Park is located immediately adjoining the Temora Airport and the Temora Aviation Museum. The facility consists of:
- Self contained and bunk style cabins
- 52 powered caravan sites
- 8 powered tent sites
- 50 non-powered caravan and camping sites
- Camp Kitchen/BBQ Facility
- Fully equipped amenities building (including laundry)
A written tender in the form of a letter or email, with relevant attachments detailing proposed management and operations, shall be addressed to the General Manager, and be submitted to Council prior to 4.30pm, Friday 16th May 2025. Prior to submitting their tender, applicants are requested to contact Council to obtain further information about this opportunity, including recent financial data. Council welcomes the opportunity to discuss the tender with potential applicants, either in person or by phone/video call, prior to submission of a formal tender.
Following the tender process, Council will then determine whether to proceed with the lease of the Temora Airfield Tourist Park, based on the information provided and discussions held. Council is seeking that the preferred tenderer would commence management duties by 1 July 2025.
Council is open to discussions regarding the lease arrangement regarding some responsibilities associated with operations, including mowing, and supply of water for irrigation. Duties for lessees are expected to include managing bookings, payments, site selection, facility cleaning, laundry of cabin linen and minor maintenance.
