The sausages are sizzling in time for Easter with a new BBQ Area opened at the Bectric Hall.

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke unveiled the new area which was created through a $25,000 grant from the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program.

Ms Cooke said the new area would be a much-enjoyed community space.

“It’s such a pleasure to see how much the community are already using this BBQ area and know it will be enjoyed by many for years to come,” Ms Cooke said.

“The new BBQ area compliments this historic and much-loved hall and is a great addition to the reserve.”

“Congratulations to everyone involved in this build, particularly to the Bectric Hall Committee and Nathan Stimson Building.”

Treasurer of the Bectric Hall Committee Lynne Breust said she was delighted with the new area.

“The BBQ area looks amazing and it adds so much for the reserve, it’s wonderful we have this space available for the community,” Ms Breust said.

“We were able to use some older materials from local farms so the shelter matches the historic look of the hall.”

“We would like to thank Steph Cooke and the Temora Shire for their support in applying for the grant and Nathan Stimson Building who completed the work and did a great job.”
