Are you an outdoor orientated person with an interest in operating plant and machinery in the civil construction industry?
As our next Civil Construction Trainee you will work across many teams within the Engineering department to delivery the works plan whilst undertaking the training requirements of a Certificate III in Civil Construction.
The position:
This position provides the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and gain experience in operation of various plant and equipment along with general labouring duties to deliver road maintenance and upgrade works consistent with Council’s works plans, policies and procedures and site conditions.

- WHS construction induction white card
- Ability to partake in physical tasks including manual handling, set out of traffic signs, loading/unloading of vehicles
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions both verbally and in writing
- A positive attitude and team player, ready to work within the Engineering Team for delivery of the highest standard of works
- Commitment to ongoing personal development and training
- Current Class C Driver Licence (Provisional licence or above) is highly desirable
